Honesty
We strongly believe that honestly towards yourself and others is the base of any healthy human interaction. Without honesty there cannot be trust and mutual respect. Honesty is accepting that no one is perfect and admitting everyone can make a mistake, honesty is not being rude and inconsiderate, it is the utmost form form of politeness, where you treat yourself and others as equal and deceive neither of them.
Courage
It takes courage to be honest, without courage is it hard to face the truth. We do not consider it courageous to jump from a cliff hopping for a good landing, courage is one’s ability to go beyond appearances and prejudices, to see things how they really are. Courage is about doing the right thing, staying true to one’s value even if it means taking the hard path.
Respect for all forms of life
At Breizh outdoor we consider all form of life to be equally important. We believe that each living organism, be it animal, vegetal, fungal, bacteriological, etc. is a key element of a larger interdependent ecosystem. We strive to act in a way that preserves and enhances local and global biodiversity and the interconnected natural networks of living organisms. All of our actions are designed and planned according to that principle.
Open-mindedness
Keeping an open mind to new experiences, new knowledge, new cultures and differences is an imperative requirement for a healthy journey through our inner and outer world. Being willing to perceive with all of our senses and treat the unfamiliar without prejudice or bias, but with an unconditional desire to expand our horizon past our culturally, societally and individually perceived limitations.
Our history
Breizh outdoor was created in 2024 after its founder extensively travelled around the globe looking to experience new adventures and understand new cultures. After working in many different fields on 4 different continents they decided to come back to their roots in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Brittany. With years of experience in both formal and informal education, and in sports and adventure they combined these two passions working in outdoor education in various settings, such as forest schools and adventure camps. Displeased with the traditional education system, they wanted to give an opportunity, for both children and adults, to learn some of the critical ‘life skills’ that walled education forgot about decades ago. These walls have separated us from our natural environment, and we can see people being gradually more disconnected from our only source of life: nature. That’s why at Breizh outdoor we offer you a wide range incredibly fun, challenging and rewarding activities, but also an educative journey made of small, big and self discoveries.
