Frequently asked questions
Do you offer accommodation for the camps ?
No, we currently do not have accommodation facilities suitable for children. However, we work closely with local accommodation providers and can offer preferential rates if you book a stay for the whole family.
How do you ensure my child is safe while at the summer day camp ?
We only work with highly experienced, professional instructors that have the relevant qualifications approved by the French government. Our counsellors are also trained on safeguarding practices.
What if there is bad weather ?
In event of rainy weather, the camp will go ahead please always pack you child’s bag with a raincoat. If there is strong wind or unusually high waves some activities might be swapped to different days, for that reason please pack a full set of gear and spare clothes for every day of the camp. In case of heavy rain the camp will be moved indoors, we have plenty of backup activities that are just as fun and educative. If an unlikely and very severe weather event was to happen the camp would be cancelled, in this case we would issue you a voucher for another camp valid for two years.
What about food ?
We kindly ask you to prepare a packed lunch for your child that can be readily eating in the outdoors. Don’t worry if you are not able to do so, we always have an opportunity to stop by a bakery where your child can buy a healthy meal (except Mondays).
What should I pack for the camp ?
As a general rule your child should have in their backpack: spare clothes, warm layer, rain jacket, drinking water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, lunch and snacks, pocket money. In addition your child should be wearing: comfortable clothes, closed toes shoes, long trousers (no shorts allowed except on the beach). Be mindful that all of your child’s gear may and most likely will get muddy, sandy or wet.
Please do not pack: valuable items, jewellery, electronic devices, anything else that is not essential. Keep it light, extra weight will tire your child out and prevent them from fully enjoying the activities
