What to expect from our survival courses in Brittany
We provide survival experiences and trainings all year long no matter the season or weather, most sessions happen in a forest environment as it gives us plenty of ressources to survive and connect with nature.
Our survival training is NOT:
A conspirationist, doom-prepping course telling you to build a bunker under your house
A commando training where you crawl in the mud while being shouted at by an ex-special forces
A spiritual camp where you are taught how to feed on light by a charismatic guru
Our survival training IS:
Designed to teach you essential skills useful both in a survival situation and in your everyday adventures and travels
Also about reconnecting with nature, learning how to respect, use and care for our natural environment
A mindfulness experience clearing away daily worries and reviving instinctive thinking
A fun and pedagogical outing where you can exchange with like-minded people

Where
All of our survival courses happen on Presqu’île de Crozon, Brittany. We will meet at 9am at the parking in front of Crozon’s town hall and from there either on foot or driving to our training location. Depending on the weather and attendance number we can change the training location without further notice
For whom
Our courses are open to all, without previous knowledge or experience requirement and are tailored to the attendees’ needs. We provide an inclusive learning environment and are unable to accept people displaying any form of racism, sexism, bigotry or any other type of discrimination. Children over the age of 14 are welcome with an accompanying adult (legal guardian).
Our brittany survival courses selection:
Level 0 outdoor survival training introduction – beginner
1/2 day course (9am to 1pm or 1am to 5pm)
This course is designed as an introduction to outdoor survival. It is suitable for people who have no previous experience and want to discover the basics of bushcraft and acquire essential survival techniques. All the necessary gear will be provided by us for this course, please bring clothes according to the weather and personal drinking water.

Price: 50€ / person
Level 1 outdoor survival training – beginner to intermediate
1 day course (9am to 5pm)
This course does not require previous experience or knowledge, it is aimed at giving you the necessary skills for basic outdoor survival. In this course you will learn how to shelter yourself from environmental hazards, find water, light a fire, bushcraft knife techniques, outdoor first aid, etc. All of the gear will be provided by us, but feel free to bring your own gear.

Price: 85€ / person
Level 2 overnight outdoor survival training – intermediate
2 days course (9am to 3pm D+1)
You need to have attended at least a level 0 course or have previous outdoor experience to attend this training. In this course you will learn more advanced survival techniques and have more time to practice them. Additionally to the base knowledge of level 1, we will go through advanced carving techniques, navigation and communication, team leadership, longer term resilience and more. For this course you need to bring your own kit (a packing list will be sent after registration) so that we can evaluate and advise you depending on your personal choices.

Outdoor survival group training
For groups of friends, families, team building or corporate events
All levels and durations
We provide private group courses and trainings for your friends families, colleagues or employees. Activities are tailored to the number and fitness of the attendees and are designed create en environment full of challenges trust, mutual aid and support. This course does not require previous experience or knowledge, you will least the necessary basic skills for outdoor survival. Depending on your objectives, we will adapt the modules and activities such as open terrain orienteering, raft building or wood carving to suit best the needs of your party.

Not included: transportation to and from Crozon, personal items such as clothing, food or drinks (you do need to pack your own lunch and water), heath or injury insurance
Brittany survival courses attendance and cancellation policy
All the training are group courses, the minimum of attendees for the course to go ahead is 4. We will not ask your for a booking date, you will enter a pool of attendees the courses will go ahead once at least four people can commit to the same date. Once a date is booked, in case of cancellation from one or more of the attendees the course will go ahead no matter the number of attendees.
Gift cards are valid for one year from the date of activation, they will not be exchanged or refunded neither during nor after their validity period. If for any reason you have an active gift card nearing expiry but have not booked a date yet, you are allowed, once, to book a date outside of the validity period providing that you book during the validity period.
In case you wish to cancel your training for any reason here is how cancellation policy (for gift cards: rescheduling only):
- 31 days or more before the course: Full refund or free rescheduling
- Less than 31 days before the course: Refund with 30% fee or free rescheduling
- Less than 15 days before the course: Refund with 50% fee or rescheduling with 30% fee
- Less than 8 days before the course: No refund or rescheduling
FAQ
What exactly will I be doing during the course?
Here you can find a more detailed plan of each course, these are learning pin points not a schedule of the course, depending on the conditions and interest of the attendees we might not cover or cover different subjects and activities.
Level 0
Basic theoretical knowledge: rule of 3s – assessing the environment – how to stay warm – how to protect yourself from the rain / wind – basic tarp uses – outdoor first aid – emergency communication procedures – useful knots – finding and following a direction – basic knife use
Level 1
Additionally to the level 0 knowledge: – types of shelter – tarp use – additional useful knots – using a saw, and axe and a knife – making tools from wood – lighting a fire without lighter or matches – finding and purifying water – compass orienteering – map reading – preparing and packing a evacuation bag – using and protecting the natural environment
Level 1 schedule: the training starts at 9am with presentation and introduction, the training until 12pm when we have 30min lunch break, training until 4.15pm then debrief and outro, end at 5pm
Level 2
In addition of the level 1 knowledge: – advanced sheltering and knots – the outdoors at night – visibility and camouflage – defensive mesures – advanced knife work – spoon carving – resilience preparation and long term survival – preparedness and leadership – hygiene and outdoor food handling
Level 2 schedule: the training starts at 9am with presentation and introduction, the training until 12pm when we have 30min lunch break, we train until dinner (time depending on the sunset), socialising time in the evening. Next day we train until 2pm with a 45min lunch break, debrief and outro at 2pm, end of the course at 3pm
What if there is bad weather ?
In event of rainy or cold weather, the course will go ahead so please always have a warm and a waterproof layer. If an unlikely and very severe weather event was to happen the course could be cancelled for safety reasons, in this case we would issue you a voucher for a same level course valid for one year.
What about food ?
We kindly ask you to prepare packed lunches for the level 1 (1 meal) and level 2 courses (2 meals), for the level 2 course the dinner is provided and cooked together on the fire
What should I pack for the course ?
For level 0 and level 1 we do provide all the necessary gear. As a general rule your should pack: warm layer, rain jacket, drinking water and packed lunch. You should be wearing: comfortable outdoor clothes (we do advise to have at least on natural material layer to stay safe when handling fire), above ankle closed toes shoes (such as hiking or trekking shoes), long trousers (no shorts allowed).
For level 2, you must bring your own gear, a detailed packing list will be sent to you upon registration.
